Weekend Warrior Scratch Golfers
Why do so many weekend warrior scratch golfers think they got what it takes to make the PGA Tour?
Seriously, the schmuck husband of a woman who works for me is thinking of quitting his job to allow the PGA Tour the benefit of his blessings. I tried to set him straight, we’ll have to see how it goes. I think he’s bi-polar.
Since I’ve started playing golf, I’ve noticed one constant. Everybody lies about how good they are. It’s astounding! I play in Asia with ex-pats and even some Asia club coaches (most of these guys are phenominal golfers, but not scratch golfers), and the way these guys talk the talk is much different from the way they walk the walk. I played hockey for 40 years and many of my teammates were golfers, but I have never met a scratch golfer. I think your buddy is full of ____!
