What exercises can help with golf? And yes, I am being serious, I recognize that golf doesn’t put the image of body builder type men into most peoples heads, but when you think of the current top golfers all of them are into some type of workout program, I mean look at Tiger Woods, he’s ripped.
I’ve done a little poking around the Internet on this topic, and there are two points that keep coming up:
* Build a solid base – by exercising your legs and core (abs/back) you’ll improve your balance and increase your power.
* Flexability training – often golfers overlook this aspect of fitness, but by increasing your range of motion by stretching and other flexability-building exercises, you’ll improve your overall health, develop different muscles that bench presses and the like can miss, and increase your swing speed, leading to greater distance.
